Arromanches

We made it over to Arromanches yesterday afternoon and Eddie, George and I visited the museum and learned more about the Mulberry harbour - how it was built and how it helped support the invasion, how crucial it was to the success.
Beautiful sunny day, with lots of people, and preparations for tomorrow's event. We were thinking of going back for an afternoon of jazz later today, but I think there will be too many people. We're sure to find something else to do.
You can just about see some of what's left of the floating harbour in the background. Mostly though, it's just the usual suspects...
