Our first service

We attended our first memorial service yesterday in Colleville Montgomery. It was organised by the Normandy Veterans Association, but we were made very welcome. It was a very moving service, not too long, not too flowery, but respect was paid.

The service was followed by a reception and vin d'honneur at the seafront, organised by the mayor of Colleville-Montgomery. A lovely opportunity to meet new friends, and share experiences. Wonderful hospitality and welcome.
